Business Onboarding

How Movmint Compliance and Business Development qualify your organization, collect KYB documentation, and provision the currency corridors you are approved to trade.

Overview

Before you write a line of integration code, your organization completes Business Onboarding. This is a compliance- and relationship-driven process — not an API — that establishes who you are, which currency corridors (Products) you are approved to trade, and the commercial terms of your access. It is the prerequisite for receiving Sandbox credentials.

You do not need to do anything technical during this stage. The goal is to get your organization approved and your Product subscription configured.

What the process looks like

  1. Compliance initiates onboarding. Once your organization is identified, Movmint Compliance kicks off the onboarding workflow using your company name and an initial receiving email address. You will receive an email inviting you into Movmint's onboarding portal.
  2. You complete the intake. The portal presents a set of forms, documents, and review materials. You complete the required pre-Sandbox items — corporate information, KYB documentation, and any use-case-specific questionnaires.
  3. Compliance reviews and approves. Movmint validates your submission, runs the required screening, and approves your organization.
  4. Your Product subscription is provisioned. Movmint configures the currency corridors you are approved to trade, along with your client-specific spreads, fees, and transaction/volume limits.

What is a Product?

A Product is a directional currency corridor you are approved to trade — for example, USDC → BSD is a distinct Product from BSD → USDC. Your Product subscription determines which from_currency / to_currency pairs, funding rails, and limits are available to your API credentials. Quote, Capture, FlowLink, and Prefunded Account operations all validate against your active Product subscription. A request for a corridor you are not subscribed to is rejected (for example, FlowLink creation returns 402 when no active Product covers the asset pair).

What you'll need to provide

The exact documentation depends on your jurisdiction and use case, but typically includes:

  • Legal company name and registration details.
  • Beneficial-ownership and director information (KYB).
  • The currency corridors and approximate volumes you intend to trade.
  • A primary contact email for onboarding communications.
🚧

Tax ID and registered address come later

Your company address, phone number, and tax ID are captured at the Technical Onboarding stage, when Sandbox credentials are issued. Business Onboarding focuses on qualifying your organization and configuring your Products.

Outcome

When Business Onboarding completes, your organization is approved and your Product subscription is live. You're ready to move on to Technical Onboarding to Sandbox, where Movmint issues your API credentials.
